5 Tips To Becoming More Efficient
No Connection? Don’t dismiss others as un-important contacts just because you don’t feel a connection when you meet them. Always treat everyone good. You never know if they will use your services later on or send a referral your way.
It’s all about “Them”…not about “You”…Find out what type of lead “they” can use from you. By showing them that you care enough to help them out, they will be more interested in getting to know you and referring business to you.
Somebody shows up as a New Visitor…Invite the new person to join in on your conversation. Be gracious to others, it will show up in your character. By helping others feel welcomed, it won’t seem like a “clique” and they will never want to come back again or do business with you.
Great Eye Contact. Connect through eye contact, smile, and be pleasant and not pushy. People can “feel” if you are genuine.
Best way to get to know others. Ask questions about their business. Let them know it’s about “them”. People do business with people they like. They will feel your sincerity.

5 HOT Networking Tips
Wear your Name Tag on the right side. When people shake hands (right hand to right hand) they are directly looking at you and looking down to the right to see who you are.
Be Pro-Active and take the Initiative to Meet and Greet People.Don’t wait for people to come to you. Be the first one to come and shake hands with them. Introduce yourself.
Meet NEW People at each Event. It’s okay to say “hi” to all your “old” friends and acquaintances, but you need to meet new people and network.
Collect as many new business cards that you can at each event.Do not give your business card to anyone, unless they have asked you for it. It’s not about you “giving” out as many cards as you can give out at an event. It’s all about finding out about “the other person” and what they do. By doing this…you are creating a feeling with them that “it’s not all about me” and by showing an interest in what they do, you are forming trust.
Never try to Demonstrate or Sell your Product at an event…Unless…you have a “show n’ tell” table. These tables were designed to help members that have pre-registered a table show off their business and products. If you don’t have a table…don’t show off your services. Use the event to make a personal connection and positive impression. They will remember you, when you do have a “show n’ tell” table at a future event.

5 Tips To Becoming More Efficient
1. First things First. Sort through your office drawers, files and cabinets to determine what type of containers and organizers you will need.
2. Don’t allow papers to pile up on and around your desk. Either File, Act upon or Toss paperwork and emails as soon as they cross your desk.
3. Use emails, PDA’s and Database File Management to your advantage. Categorize your work with these devices.
4. Use a Calendar system that will work for you, either on your computer with a back up or a Day Planner. Stick with it!
5. Time is money. Time is valuable. Manage your time carefully and don’t be afraid to say “no”.
