JANUARY - Networking Tips

By: Wendy Ruby
CEO/Founder HOT Pink Mamas

Places to Go…Places to Network Your Business

  1. Your Hairdresser could be your best Connection. Ask her/him if they could help you with finding leads and referrals. Leave Several Business Cards or Brochures with her/him. Give them a special discount, gift or possibly a Kick Back.

  2. The Post Office Line. Be sure to have your brochures or cards with you and strike up a conversation. Always be sincere and ask them what they do first. Find out about what they do.

  3. The Coffee Shop. Don't be afraid to introduce yourself to those around you. It's a great place to Connect and Gain a Relationship.

  4. Dentist and Doctor Offices. Sitting around waiting for your appointment? Don't be afraid to communicate. Good Networking consists of practicing Good Communication Skills. Don't wait until you are at Events or Networking Meetings. Casual Conversation does not lead to a Business Relationship.

  5. Movie Ticket Lines, Airplanes, Nail Salons, Grocery Lines. When you Network, you can Learn from them or be a Resource for them! Make a Goal to Put Networking into Practice. Don't be afraid to open your mouth, put into practice what you know and Go for it…the SECRET? It's WHO You Know when it comes to Business!

Get Control of Your LIFE Tips
by Wendy Ruby CEO/Founder

  1. Working too many hours? Balance your Life. The KEY to Succeed is having ENERGY.
  2. Take time for YOU.
  3. Be Creative. Make a list of what you like to do. Write down a "date" to do that "special thing" that you LOVE. Write it in your Day Planner.
  4. Get away from your desk or office to clear your mind to gain greater focus on "what is important" and what needs to change.
  5. If you have many demands in business, 60 to 80 hours a week will not generate better business results.
  6. Work fewer hours and achieve better results. If you write down the "most important" that need to be accomplished that week, don't allow the "least important" to get in your way.
  7. If you have problems...get away, mediate, go to a "quite place" where you won't be bothered. Your mind will open up and a breakthrough or idea will happen. I personally do this by going out to the mountains and praying. The Lord always helps me or gives me clarity.
  8. It's My Prayer that you will be successful and not over worked. You deserve the Energy and the Time for the Special Things in Life that bring you JOY! Easter is a special time for Renewal...Resurrection. It's Your Time for Renewal...a new way, a new YOU.

Have a Support Network:

As a Member of HOT Pink Mamas, you have access to Go-Girl-Go Teams and Go-Guy-Go Teams. Ask your area Owner/Director for a list of Support Team Members that can either help you or mentor you with advice. Our motto is: LIVE TO GIVE! When you run into time crunches or frustrations in business, you need to do two things: 1. Vent your Stress with someone else and 2. Get Advice. If somebody has already been there and done that…they can relate to what you are going through. Many of our HOT Pink Mamas Members have circumstances and histories to offer solutions to the problems you might be coping with. Don't be afraid to ask for Help. Most people want to Help! Be sure to share with them any success that you had, by taking their advice. Don't ever underestimate the need for appreciation and applause.

Always try to help a friend in need

Love your friends, no matter who they are

Don't waste food

Fall in love with someone...
...and say 'I love you' often
Express yourself creatively

Always be up for surprises

Love someone with all of your heart

Share with friends
Watch your step
It will get better
There is always someone who loves you more than you know

Exercise to keep fit

Seize the Moment

Hold on to good friends; they are few and far between

Cherish Every Sunday

At the end of the day... PRAY

May Business Networking Tips:

From Wendy Ruby
HOT Pink Mamas CEO/Founder

I am a mother of 6 children and 15 grandchildren. I am so blessed! We all have our ups and downs in life, but every day is a special and blessed day from the Lord and we are to be "glad" in it! HE wants us to be Happy, no matter what our situation. Our Motto in HOT Pink Mamas is...LIVE to GIVE. It's my prayer that you will find JOY in life, JOY in your business and PEACE and HAPPINESS within through GIVING and NETWORKING with one another...

MAY YOUR DAY BE BRIGHT!
Next time you think life is hard….think again

TRULY AWESOME STORY! ! ! ! ! Maybe you believe in god, but remember that everything has a good reason and we must be satisfied with what we get.
'Every moment, every situation, every issue, and every concern has a positive side. Find it and bring it to Life.'

My name is Nick Vujicic and I was born without limbs and doctors have no medical explanation for this birth 'defect'. As you can imagine, I was faced with many challenges and obstacles.

Their firstborn son had been born without limbs! There were no warnings or time to prepare themselves for it. The doctors were shocked and had no answers at all! There is still no medical reason why this had happened and Nick now has a Brother and Sister who were born just like any other baby.

I know that there is no such thing as luck, chance or coincidence that these 'bad' things happen in our life.

I had complete peace knowing that God won't let anything happen to us in our life unless God has a good purpose for it all

I am now twenty-three years old and have completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Planning and Accounting. I am also a motivational speaker and love to go out and share my story and testimony wherever opportunities become available. I have developed talks to relate to and encourage students through topics that challenge today's teenagers. I am also a speaker in the corporate sector.

I have a passion for reaching out to youth and keep myself available for whatever God wants me to do, and wherever He leads, I follow.
Writing several best-selling books has been one of my dreams and I hope to finish writing my first by the end of the year.

It will be called 'No Arms, No Legs, No Worries!'

I believe that if you have the desire and passion to do something, and if it's God's will, you will achieve it in good time. As humans, we continually put limits on ourselves for no reason at all! What's worse is putting limits on God who can do all things. We put God in a 'box'. The awesome thing about the Power of God, is that if we want to do something for God, instead of focusing on our capability, concentrate on our availability for we know that it is God through us and we can't do anything without God. Once we make ourselves available for God's work, guess whose capabilities we rely on? God's!

The ONLY FEAR IN LIFE IS THAT I FORGET HOW GOD HAS LED ME IN THE PAST!
And
Remember:

WHEN YOU'RE BUSY JUDGING PEOPLE,
YOU HAVE NO TIME TO LOVE THEM.

MAY YOUR DAY BE BRIGHT!

Next time you think life is hard….think again

'Every moment, every situation, every issue, and every concern has a positive side. Find it and bring it to Life.'

JUNE HOT Networking Tips:

7 HOT Tips to Use Your Business Cards When Networking

Members of HOT Pink Mamas can order 5,000 Business Cards for only $50… Get Your Business Cards Today!
702-566-PINK (7465)

  • Give Business Cards Out to EVERYONE… Give, Give, Give! Be generous with giving out your cards and be sure to give out 2 and ask for a Referral.

  • Don't be Afraid to Ask for Referrals… If you don't Ask, you won't Get! Just say “if you don't mind, I would really appreciate a Referral” or “If you don't mind, can you keep my card and if you know of anyone that can use my services, I would really appreciate your help”. People love to help others.

  • Use Proper Business Etiquette… Ask for a business card when you give a business card. Be sure to look at their card and see what they do. Ask questions and be sincere. If you want to be important and leave a lasting impression…be sure to make them feel important so that they remember who you are.

  • Be sure to always have Business Cards in your Wallet, Purse, Car, Day Planner, etc… You never know who you will meet. It's very unprofessional to NOT have a business card with you. People might think that you have a hobby, not a business. A quick trip to the store…you never know who you will bump into. Just make it a habit to always have them with you. It's like making sure your license is always with you…why not put a few in the same place as your driver's license?

  • Don't be shy about giving out Business Cards… at your kids school function, a family reunion or party, a holiday party. You might never know who you will meet. Sometimes its about being at the right time and in the right place to meet the right person. Why not volunteer? It's a great way to meet people that “remember” who you are. If you LIVE to GIVE and help enough people in the world to get what they want, you will find that you will get what you want in life. What goes around, comes around.

  • Out of Sight, Out of Mind? I am sure that you know you are up against hundreds of competitors, all wanting the same contract. Many times at events, it's hard to remember who's who. You need to give a person a reason to “remember” who you are and how you are different than your competitors. The Key: Persistence and Follow-up! Give them 2 cards and send another 2 in the mail with a nice note immediately after you meet them.

  • Have a Slogan or Tag Line on your Business Cards… by branding yourself or business. People will always associate a company name with their services, products, a catchy phrase or slogan. Note: As a Member of HOT Pink Mamas, we can help you put a Tag Line or Slogan together. Call the Corporate Office to set up an appointment with our Marketing Dept. No Charge to Members.

Tips For Thought:

Have a blessed day.

HOT Pink Mamas Motto...LIVE to GIVE

LIVE to GIVE..GIVE to LIVE

JULY SPOTLIGHT OF THE MONTH

Referrals can be a real Tricky Business…Here are some Tips on How to GET MORE REFERRALS:

  • Pay more attention and track your Referrals, but FIRST, track who you are going to GIVE a Referral to. For every 3 Referrals YOU GIVE, the rule of thumb… you would receive 1 Referral back.

  • It only makes sense…as you GIVE Referrals; you begin to create “Relationships” with those you have referred. Most likely, one of your 3 Referrals will tell somebody about “YOU”.

  • Make it a HABIT and be AWARE of GIVING out Referral's EVERY DAY.

  • Obviously, if you want MORE Referral's, then give MORE Referral's out…6 per week so that you possibly get back 2.

Are you SHOWING UP at Networking Events, Expos, Referral Roundtables, etc. and are you being SINCERE, as you meet one another?

  • Don't just put your information in our HOT Pink Goodie Bags and expect a phone call. You need to follow up on your Leads. Many times you have to follow up more than one time. Be consistent! Be Sincere!

  • Many times at Events, if the person you are going to Refer is there and you find somebody that can use their services, be sure to INTRODUCE them right there on the spot. What a great impression you will leave! Refer others by introducing them through email.

  • By NETWORKING, you are creating an Opportunity for yourself and others.

  • If you hear somebody “Bragging about someone else”…be sure to tell the person getting “Bragged” on! Everyone loves to get kudos. Be sure to THANK the person that's been Bragging on you so that they continue to Brag! It's a Great Way to get FREE Marketing Exposure. On the other hand, if you hear somebody “Trashing another person”…it's best that you go to the person getting “Trashed” and let them know, so that they can approach the person that “Trashed” their name and fix it. Don't ignore it! Communication is your best friend. It will stop the person from continuing to “Trash” your name. Sometimes there is a reason beyond your knowing why they were unhappy with your services, therefore “Trashing”.

  • Most of all LIVE to GIVE and GIVE to LIVE…what goes around comes around. Be focused and sincere with everyone you come in contact with. Share LOVE from your Heart…it will be Heartfelt!

Blessings and Happy Networking!

Wendy Ruby
